  DRUMMING, PERCUSSION & WORSHIP WORKSHOPS FOR CHURCHES

Our drumming, percussion and creative worship workshops are specifically tailored to the needs of churches and Christian organisations.

Musicians:  We understand the needs of musicians, in worship.  Drums may form the basis for much of today's more modern worship but musicians are a team who must work together.  Our workshops can focus on any or all aspects of teamwork, including how melodic and rhythm instruments work together, specific roles and skills for drummers and percussionists, effective and creative use of percussion in the worship group.  We can work with you to strengthen your team, build morale and deepen relationships.

Worship:  Why not enhance personal worship for yourself, members of your congregation, house-group or cell with new-found percussive skills?  We will help you discover skills you didn't realise you possessed!  We can include teaching on the historical role of music and rhythm in personal and corporate worship.  Have you ever thought about combining drums & percussion with other art forms?  Our workshops can help.

Discovery & Exploration:  Young children are naturally creative and yet by the time they reach their teens, many are convinced that they have no creativity at all.  This gets even worse as we progress into our adult years.  The reality is that every one of us is creative!  Our workshops can be geared to discovering your creative talents.  We use drums and percussion to facilitate this, but lessons from the workshops can then be extended into other areas of life to discover creative talents that have either been hidden or lain dormant for years.

Fun, Health & Stress Relief:  Perhaps the major drain on our energies today is stress. If left untreated or unaddressed the results can be disastrous and long-term, for the individual, their family and friends.  The church is not immune from stress.  Many who are stressed gather there!  Relaxing, having fun together and unwinding provides a vital source of stress-relief which allows us to recharge our emotional and spiritual batteries!  Our fun creative workshops are a great opportunity to recharge and refocus ... and take some time out with yourself and God.

Drum & Percussion Tuning - Many instruments come pre-tuned.  Others are easy to tune; you just tension a wire or slide a mouthpiece in or out a bit.  Tuning drums and percussion is another matter! There are many variables that all combine to give the overall sound.  What we hear behind the kit is not what others hear away from the kit, but both need to be good.  Our sound engineering friends may tell us to kill the ring with rags and Gaffa tape, but why spend money on good equipment which is designed to resonate and produce a great sound, only to kill it?  We understand tuning drums and percussion and how to get a great sound in any room, any environment.  Why not ask us to help you get the best from your drums and percussion?  We'll work with you and your sound team to get a great sound that everyone is happy with!  We'll also show you how to do it yourself so it stays sounding great. All workshops are run at a venue of your choice, using hands-on techniques in a non-threatening, experimental, creative and fun atmosphere.  We structure our input to meet your needs and can include a wide variety of elements including teaching, biblical background, multi-media and training.  All activities involve hands-on practical experience and aim to be educational, encouraging, motivating and memorable.
