  STEM Ambassador in Schools

Stuart works as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Ambassador in schools at KS1 to KS5 levels.

The STEM Ambassadors programme aims to support teachers and, through them, young people by enhancing and enriching their experience of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. STEM Ambassadors help students to make the link between what they learn in school and the world of work. They may also help students to understand the range of careers available in STEM-related subjects.

STEM Ambassadors are part of a nationally co-ordinated body of people with experience applying their (STEM) skills in their daily life and career and who volunteer to help inspire young people by being a positive role model. National co-ordination is administered by STEMNET.

Stuart combines his extensive scientific experience in research and the pharmaceutical industry with his talent for making complex scientific ideas and processes easy to understand to deliver a range of talks, presentations and practical activities (he also provides practical workshops for enhancing science and other curriculum subjects).

He is also happy to work as part of your team, helping to make science relevant, accessible and fun.

Please note:  Stuart can only accept a restricted number of appointments each year due to business commitments.
